There are four classes of membership of the Institute, viz., Fellows, Members, Associates and Corporate Members.

Applicants for membership must undergo an evaluation process conducted by the Membership Committee, a sub-committee of the Council of Management, which on being satisfied of the applicant’s professional competence, by examination or otherwise, and his/her good character and willingness to be bound by the regulations, code of ethics and by-laws of the Institute may recommend to the Council of Management that the applicant be admitted to membership of the Institute and if so admitted become a “Certified Management Consultant” and be hence entitled to use the qualifying letters “M.I.M.C.” after their respective names.

Please be aware that the IMCJ is presently developing a New Certification Process in collaboration with the Mona School of Business that will modernise and Internationalise the process of evaluation of applicants who wish to be admitted to the IMCJ in order to become Certified Management Consultants. This new Certification Process will be more accessible to the many MBA and MSc. Graduates of Business Management related Courses offered by the several Universities operating in Jamaica and the Caribbean today.
